Chenin
de Mercuès

< Return
Georges Vigouroux has always chosen to grow regional grapes for his wines, both convinced of their potential on the local "terroir" and their uniqueness. Therefore he decided to plant Chenin Blanc, a regional grape (South West France being its native region), aside from Malbec which is the major grape variety in the vineyard of Château de Mercuès. Chenin de Mercuès is a very aromatic sweet wine with an intense nose with complex apricot and quince flavours.
The mouth expresses rich and persistent aromas of white-fleshed fruits like peach and a lovely freshness that counteracts the sweetness well. Definitely an unctuous wine, a gem to be chilled and served as an aperitif or with dessert.
